The Department of English is established since its inception of the college in the year 1974. As a language department, it enjoys the distinction of touching the academic life of every student and staff member of the college.
Apart from the regular classes which are a part of the curriculum, the English department keeps itself and the students busy with various other academic activities.
The Department of English continues to endeavour to provide the much needed language competencies to the first generation rural learners from the socially and economically backward areas and get them English-ready for the industry / academia.
