This Deprtment has been  Established since 1974. It is a symbol of the telugu tradition and culture. It stongly motivates students towords preservation of heritage of telugu language. It also creates an enveronment of writing telugu poetry. It imparts moral values through telugu literature.

I. Vision & Mission :

• To develop the Telugu Department towords the success and glory 
• To promote the spirit of writing poetry in students.                                                                                                                                           

II. Objective :

• The curriculum is modeled to help the students to become creative  poets and writers.
• To inculcate the speaking and writing skills of Telugu, so as to create jobs  in print and digital media.
• To inculcate respect to mother tongue (Telugu) among the students.
• To inculcate passion for reading Telugu literature.
• To create sensitization towards the telugu language
• To create interest in the literary development of the language.
• To motivate students to write poetry, stories, literary essays etc.                                                                                                                                               

III.Course Outcomes:

• After completion of the degree course, students can opt for the post graduation for the Telugu subject.
• After completion of the course, the desired students who wants to be a telugu teacher in future can opt Telugu as a optional subject in B.Ed.
• The students who have interest in Telugu literature, can write poems, novels, dramas and can get recognized by the society.
• The Students who have interest in cene field, can try as a lyric writer, dialogue wirter script writer.
• After completion of the course, students can get employment in library as a librarian.
• Students can get employment in press as a reporter and in TV fields as an anchor.
• The students who are interested in drama, can lead as drama artist.
